In the afternoon of February 24, the Party Committee of the School of Statistics held the 2022 annual democratic life meeting. Shixiang Yu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University, Jian Xiong, Zidian Xu, Hao Yang and Yao Yu of the Steering Group attended the meeting, and members of the Party Committee of the University attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates. The meeting was presided over by Ming Jin, Secretary of the Branch Party Committee.

In order to hold this meeting well, the Party Committee of the College formulated a work plan in strict accordance with the regulations. The members of the leading group thoroughly studied and understood the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, widely solicited opinions, conducted in-depth heart-to-heart talks, deeply investigated and set out problems, carefully prepared the team to check the materials and the outline of individual speeches, and made solid preparations for the meeting.

The meeting reported the rectification and implementation of the 2021 democratic life meeting on the special topic of party history learning and education for the members of the college and the solicitation of opinions at the democratic life meeting. Jin, on behalf of the leading group of the college, made a comparative inspection, took the lead in personal analysis and took the initiative to accept criticism. Subsequently, the team members made in-depth analysis and comparison inspection in six aspects, and carried out criticism and self-criticism in the principle of clarifying the problem, explaining the root cause thoroughly, and making rectification concrete, so as to achieve the purpose of exchanging ideas, promoting work, and improving together.

The supervision group who attended the meeting made comments on the democratic life meeting, and pointed out that the leadership of the college still needs to work hard on the preparation of the meeting materials and the strength of the contrast inspection needs to be further deepened. It should require itself and implement it in the construction of the college's cadre talent team, the construction of the basic party organization, the construction of the team members themselves, and the construction of disciplines.

Yu checked the materials from the leading group and make further rectification according to the previous year. He strengthen heart-to-heart talk among team members and implement the team construction, where the team members should take the initiative to perform their duties. They should sorting out the key work of discipline construction, formulate a strict reward and punishment system and other aspects put forward requirements for the members of the School's team. The current leading group would work hard, continue to move forward, and do its best to develop and strengthen the College of Statistics.
