On February 20, 2023, in order to further promote the orderly development of the student work in the new semester, Ming Jin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Statistics, organized the student work arrangement meeting of the School of Statistics in the next semester of the academic year 2022-2023. Organized member Jie Kang and all counselors attended the meeting and made work reports. The meeting was chaired by Jianxiong Yang, director of the Student Work Office.

At the meeting, all counselors and teachers made reports and exchanged speeches from many aspects, such as students' ideological education, party member development and party branch construction, class routine management, student aid and scholarship, student graduation and employment, and student activities.

At the meeting, the organizing committee member Kang put forward suggestions on carrying out the work of characteristic students in the Institute of Statistics, and put forward new requirements and arrangements for the development and construction of the Party branch of teachers and students.

Jin conveyed the spirit of the first student work meeting of the school this semester. He also deployed and arranged the key work for students in 2023 and the work for students at the beginning of the school year. Specifically, he required the counselors to carry out the work in a solid way around the ideological and political education of students, epidemic prevention and control, national funding policy, network ideological and political education, psychological education, construction of student and worker team, security and stability, and the level of student service management, and required the student work team to improve its political standing and strengthen its role. He also emphasis on adhering to the original intention of education, educating people with great care and dedication, and insisting on serving the development of students using emotion and with heart. With regard to employment, Jin stressed that this year is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the key year to implement the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan". All counselors should attach great importance to employment from the perspective of politics, the overall situation of promoting people's livelihood, and the overall situation of promoting the development of schools and colleges. They should make overall plans, refine measures, and implement them well to ensure the orderly and smooth progress of employment.
